It looks like the law runs in Judge Judy’s family! Her son, Adam Levy, is about to get his own courtroom series, ADAM’S LAW.
“CBS Media Ventures remains committed to delivering titles that excite stations and connect with audiences everywhere. With ADAM’S LAW, AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS and AMERICAN MAYHEM, we’re expanding our portfolio with three distinct programs that each bring something fresh to the marketplace,” John Budkins, EVP, programming and syndication production for CBS Media Ventures and Stations, said in a statement.
Budkins continued, “From a bold new take on the courtroom, to one of television’s most beloved family franchises and an adrenaline-charged weekend destination, these series are built to engage, entertain and deliver for our partners.”
ADAM’S LAW will be produced by Judge Judy Sheindlin’s Queen Bee Productions, as well as CBS Media Ventures.

Levy is a two-term district attorney who has been a judge on Amazon’s TRIBUNAL JUSTICE and JUSTICE ON TRIAL.
“Adam is a spectacular lawyer. As a judge, his search for the truth is unparalleled,” Sheindlin said in a statement. “In a justice system where the truth is often diminished by the lazy or inept, Adam is the gold standard for judicial excellence.”

Sheindlin gave up her own TV judge seat in 2020 after 25 seasons on the air. In 2021, she began hosting JUDY JUSTICE on Amazon Freevee.
“Being a judge in a courtroom in the family court … it’s probably the most worthwhile work that you do,” Sheindlin said in a 2025 interview with People. “[But] television judging is a lot more fun, a lot less work, and you take a lot fewer Tylenol than you do in family court.”
In an interview with Fox News, Levy spoke about why audiences enjoy courtroom shows so much.
“I think that everyone from their everyday lives — they have experiences with neighbor disputes,” he explained. “They have contract disputes, real estate, landlord, tenant, unfortunately, assault issues, used car scams, credit card scams, you name it. Everyone has these experiences every day.”
He continued, “People want to see justice. People want to see the right thing happen. And unfortunately, we see it now, perhaps more than ever before. People have lost faith in that institution, the judicial institution. They’ve lost faith in the courts because, unfortunately, as I’ve seen over my career in 25 years, judges don’t always do the right thing. Lawyers don’t always do the right thing. Politicians don’t always do the right thing. And there aren’t enough people holding their feet to the fire to make sure that they’re held accountable when they do the wrong thing.”
