More Detail:

IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A CHRISTMAS COOKIE is an animated Christmas special episode featuring Mouse and his human friend, Oliver, as they prepare for Oliver’s surprise Christmas performance on Christmas Eve. Mouse cannot wait and almost ruins the surprise. Mouse and other animal friends work to fix the issue. But will they have time to save the holiday show?

It’s Christmas Eve, and Mouse wakes up to the smell of cookies coming from the bedroom. Finding his human friend, Oliver, already out of bed, Mouse jumps and rolls down the hall on a roller skate and ziplines down into the living room and into the Christmas tree. Flying into the kitchen using a ribbon, he finds Oliver baking sugar cookies in different shapes. Confused, Mouse asks why these cookies aren’t round.

Oliver explains that they’re Christmas cookies. Mouse nervously tries one, and then, of course, needs a glass of milk. Oliver explains that the best part about Christmas cookies is leaving them out for Santa. They get to work on making a special cookie just for Santa in the next batch. With a song, Mouse makes snow angels in the flower and skates on the baking sheets with a pat of butter.

As the smell of the cookies wafts through the neighborhood, all the animal neighbor friends are drawn to Oliver’s house for a smell. Oliver invites them in to help decorate the cookies.

Suddenly, realizing he is late, Oliver runs to his room. The animals are confused, and Mouse tells them he must be late for the holiday show’s rehearsal. Pig wishes she could be in a show. Mouse tells the others that Oliver’s performance is a surprise and goes to see if Oliver needs any help.

He asks Oliver again what he will be doing in the show. Oliver reminds him that it is a surprise and he’ll have to wait. Mouse says he can’t wait, but Oliver thinks he should find something to keep him busy. Mouse sneaks into his backpack without Oliver realizing it. When he can’t find Mouse before leaving, he assumes he’s in the kitchen with the others. He says goodbye to the group, but the animals know that Mouse isn’t with them. Cat suspects there’s something funny going on.

At the auditorium, Mouse is discovered, and Oliver walks him outside, repeating that he must just be patient to see his performance. As Mouse sulks off and turns the corner, he finds the other animals. They demand to know what’s going on and decide they also want to know about Oliver’s performance. They try to sneak into the building.

They do eventually get in, but after rehearsal is over, and everyone is gone. They check out the decorations on the stage. As Pig dances on stage, they knock over the beautiful decorations, and the fire sprinklers go off. The show is ruined!

Mouse stays positive and says that if there’s a problem, then there’s a solution. They work together to try to put things together. But will they be able to save the show and see Oliver’s surprise performance?
