Over the last two weeks, Gary Sinise and his foundation spent time with families of fallen heroes to honor the sacrifices those brave men and women once made.
“What an incredible two weeks spent with our families of fallen heroes. From the Walk of Gratitude to playing for these families with my Lt. Dan Band, it’s truly an honor to serve those who carry so much love and sacrifice with them every day,” Sinise shared on Instagram.
“We remember their loved ones, we honor their service, and we want these families to know – they are never forgotten,” he added.

Sinise has dedicated his entire life to giving back to the community and to those who have lost loved ones in the US military.
“Thanks to the generosity of supporters across the country, and the matching gifts from George Joseph, @PaulSkenes, @Whataburger, and the Tse Family, we raised $3.7 million to uplift and honor our nation’s defenders and their families,” Sinise shared in another post on December 3.
“Your gifts help provide adapted housing, vital programs, mental wellness support, and so much more, ensuring our heroes receive the care and appreciation they deserve,” he continued. “We couldn’t do this work without you. Thank you for standing with us. 🇺🇸”
Additionally, The Gary Sinise Foundation just celebrated the 100th home that they built and gave away to a wounded military serviceman.
“Well, folks, yesterday was an incredible day. We handed the keys and iPad to a mortgage-free home to our 100th hero, my dear pal, US Army Sergeant First Class Joe Bowser. Each home is specially adapted with smart technology to meet their specific needs due to injuries from service,” Sinise shared on Instagram.
The Sinise Foundation has dedicated its work to “building custom homes featuring smart technology and specialized features for America’s most severely wounded heroes. Each 100% mortgage-free home eases the challenges faced daily by our heroes and the families who sacrifice alongside them.”
Sinise and his foundation spent two weeks on the road giving back to families who have lost loved ones in the US military. Sinise spent time with these families, handed out gifts, and even performed with his band, the Lt. Dan band.
