YouTubers Dude Perfect will bring their live show to the movie screen, with some help from Regal Cinemas in upcoming movie DUDE PERFECT: THE HERO TOUR.
“I’ve known about the Dude Perfect guys for a very long time and watched them grow as one of the innovators in the space and building that key fan relationship,” Adam Rymer, chief commercial officer of Regal, told The Wrap.
When he happened to end up at an event with Dude Perfect’s CEO, Andrew Yaffe, Rymer and Yaffe ended up brainstorming the beginnings of what would become DUDE PERFECT: THE HERO TOUR.

“It was around last spring that we approached Regal about the idea for this film, hoping to appeal to both fans who saw the tour and those who couldn’t go because of ticket prices or the tour didn’t come to their city,” Matt Deimund, chief product officer of Dude Perfect, added.
The guys of Dude Perfect had plenty of input when it came to putting together the documentary.
“It is truly a privilege to work with these guys, because they’ve got such creative vision and have such a history, obviously, with the brand and knowing how to engage with fans,” Deimund explained. “We spent a lot of time working with them on what should the movie feel like. What should it feel like to someone who’s already seen the show and they’re watching it and kind of reliving their experience? How do we give them some new things along with the nostalgia of how fun it was when they saw the show live?”
He continued, “I think we learned a whole lot about how in the future we would format and think about our live show, if the intent from the very beginning is to create a cinematic product. That’s the benefit of being at a very agile place.”
“So absolutely, as we see this release and launch in theaters, we’ll be looking every step of the way at how this resonates with our core fans and with those who maybe are just getting to know us,” Deimund concluded.
DUDE PERFECT: THE HERO TOUR “is a brand-new, immersive experience designed for families and superfans to see The Dudes up close like never before,” per a description of the movie on its website.
“The show is full of action-packed battles, classic Dude Perfect segments, and exclusive backstage access,” the description continued. “Even if you have been to the show, you’ve never seen Dude Perfect like this!”
In a statement about THE HERO TOUR, member Coby Cotton said, “Our fans are the heartbeat of everything we do. We heard from so many families who couldn’t make it to the tour, and we wanted to create something just as epic for them. DUDE PERFECT: THE HERO TOUR is our way of saying, ‘If you can’t come to us, we’ll bring the show to you — bigger, louder, and with a few surprises you won’t see anywhere else.’”
