TruPlay shared that Google is actively censoring every ad it attempts to put up for its platform, while allowing other video games to prosper which would be violating the same guidelines if all was fair.
“Google’s been working actively to try to suppress, to try to stop the truth about God from getting to your children,” said Brent Dusings, the CEO of TruPlay. “We make beautiful, fun Christian video games that are helping grow kids’ faith all the time. Google doesn’t allow us to advertise. We get hit violation after violation by Google saying, ‘You’re running religious content.’”
“Well, there’s another game that’s about a religion, it’s called Satanism,” Dusings continued. “The game is called ‘Diablo.’ You might have heard of it. As you can see here, Diablo is able to run ad after ad after ad promoting demonic content, dark content, satanic agenda. The fact Google is working actively against a Christian organization to try to uplift children is reprehensible and it must change.”

TruPlay is a gaming platform that seeks to provide kids with a safe place they can engage with the past time, while also sharing the Gospel with them – whether explicitly or implicitly, depending on the game. This goal is ever important as many kids games are overrun with bad actors looking to prey on young gamers. More importantly most of these games do little to protect their young users, placing profit over safety.
“The mission of TruPlay is to transform a while generation of children. You know, our children are in a crisis in America… anxiety, suicide and depression rates are at all-time highs. There are record cases of brain damage in kids because of the legalization and high-usage of drugs. So our kids are really in a bad place; and the worse stat is that only 31% of kids in America believe in God, compared to 62% of adults,” Dusing previously told Movieguide®.
Unfortunately, Google and other tech giants have a history of unequal application of its policies, choosing to censor specific users, while allowing others to break their guidelines every day. This unequal treatment almost always negatively impacts Conservative or Christian messaging. For example, Google previously censored pro-life ads in 2021, despite allowing pro-choice ads to continue to run across its platforms.
“Google disingenuously cites ‘unreliable claims’ as their reason to ban the promotion of Abortion Pill Reversal, but has obviously failed to understand the FDA-approved treatment that the reversal technology uses,” said Live Action activist group founder Lila Rose. “Live Action and pro-life medical professionals across the country are proud to promote the Abortion Pill Reversal regimen, which involves an FDA-approved, bioidentical pregnancy hormone called progesterone that has been used for dozens of years to prevent miscarriage and has already saved thousands of lives.”
While companies like Google often claim they stand for free speech, they continue to make decisions that contradict that claim. The censorship of TruPlay is yet another example of this, and hopefully, one day, Conservatives will be treated the same as Liberals on the internet.
