Danny Gokey wants his music to encourage anyone feeling stuck in a period of difficulty.
“If you feel caught in a struggle, this song is for you,” the AMERICAN IDOL alum captioned a recent Instagram video, which shows Gokey singing his song “Stay Strong.”

The lyrics include lines like, “I’m ready for the miracle, God let it be this time,” and “Because I know the day is coming // When You’ll right all of the wrong // So I’ll praise You in the waiting // And my faith will stay strong,” per AZLyrics.
Gokey often encourages his listeners to stand strong in their faith during times of trouble.
In a recent Instagram video, he said, “You have to find out the ways of God. Your hopes can be shaken….God is a miracle worker. He’s a way-maker. He’s a healer. He’s a promise keeper, right? We know the songs, but how He does it is where we have to stand in faith, right? Your hope might be shaken, but your faith can stay strong, because that’s how you get to the promises of God.”
Gokey recently signed a new record deal with Red Street Records, which he hopes will help him continue to minister to people through his music.
“I’m incredibly excited about this new chapter,” he said in a statement given to Music Row. “After years in this industry, I’ve learned that it’s about partnering with people who truly believe in your vision and are invested in the journey.”
Gokey continued, “The team at Red Street get what I’m trying to do musically and in ministry, and having that focused support means everything. I’ve always believed that music is more than entertainment; it’s about reaching people with hope and encouragement when they need it most. This isn’t just about making music; it’s about making music that matters and reaching people in a deeper way. I can’t wait to see what we build together.”
Red Street Records founder and CEO Jay DeMarcus added, “Danny and I have been friends for many years. I’ve enjoyed watching him take his career to new levels, and I’m beyond thrilled to be his partner in what I’m sure is going to be his best chapter yet.
