MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE: LIFE’S STILL UNFAIR star Frankie Muniz took a cross-country road trip six years ago, where one radio station led him to Christ.

While traveling, Muniz kept experiencing problem after problem. In the middle of nowhere, he turned on the radio, and the only station that would come through was K-LOVE.

Two songs stood out to the MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE actor: Kari Jobe’s “Cover the Earth” and Big Daddy Weave’s “Overwhelmed.” After those songs, Muniz never seemed to turn the station off.

“It was the perfect moment,” he said. “I haven’t turned off that radio station since. I started going to church every Sunday and really being involved in my faith. It’s definitely become a big part of my life because of that trip.”

Muniz continues to lean into Christian music, saying artists like Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham and Andrew Ripp some of his go-tos.

The race car driver described himself as a high-stress, anxious person, but listening to worship music brings him peace.

“Even though I had a lot of good in my life, I felt like I was still in a very anxious place,” Muniz said in a video on TikTok. “[Worship music] just puts me in the right frame of mind that I want to be in. If that little bit of listening to the music could have that effect on me and bring me down a different path to make my life better, I hope other people find that, too.”

Since that day in the desert of New Mexico six years ago, Muniz has made changes in his life to make time for the things that truly matter. He often dedicates time to spend with his wife and son, as well as striving to become the man God wants him to be.

“I’m trying hard to be the best me I can be. Still have a lot of work to do,” Muniz wrote in a post on Instagram.

But he couldn’t be more grateful for Jesus.

“Happy Sunday!” he posted on X last September. “I am proud to say I live for Jesus Christ. Who’s with me?”

What began as a series of travel mishaps evolved into a spiritual awakening, proving that peace is often found in the most unexpected places.
