The couple announced their engagement last year, following four years of dating.
“We wanted it to be special and beautiful,” Wilson told Vogue of the ceremony, which took place at the Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee.
The country singer shared, “Duck and I were driving backroads in Tennessee and saw a billboard for The Ruskin Cave. Duck said, ‘You wanna get married there?’ I said, ‘Done deal.’ We dropped by, saw the venue, and fell in love with the natural beauty of the cave and the simplicity of the property.”
“I have never seen Duck smile as big as he did then,” Wilson said of the moment they were officially pronounced man and wife. “It made me feel giddy about turning the page into this next chapter of marriage. We were both anxious to say ‘I do!’”
Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests celebrated with a reception.
“My mama led the dinner prayer for all of our guests, and we settled in for a night of good food, good company and good music,” Wilson shared. “Our family and friends know how to have a good time, and the dance floor was packed all night. To close out a perfect evening, Duck and I followed the band through a send-off line of sparklers and cheering loved ones, climbed into an old white Ford truck, and drove off!”
In an interview with PEOPLE, she called Hodges her “biggest supporter” and “biggest cheerleader,” adding, “The sky is the limit, that’s how he acts about everything. He’s just the place that I get to call home and I’m lucky to have him and I think he’s pretty dang lucky to have me, too.”
Hodges has often taken to social media to share his support for his now-wife. In a 2023 post following the Country Music Association Awards, he wrote, “She already heard what I’m fixing to say, but I just want y’all to hear it once. This girl is the most hard working person I know. Her work ethic and her desire to be the best person she can be is contagious.”
“I’m so happy that all the hard work continues to pay off. Congrats on all the awards last night and especially the BIGGEST AWARD OF THE NIGHT! ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR!” he continued. “I’m so glad she can be some of y’all’s favorite artist, sing your favorite song. Or be your daughters favorite role model. I’m just thankful to call her my best friend.”
Wilson’s fans are overjoyed to watch the country singer and her now-husband start this new chapter of their lives together!
