This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.” Children need to learn the importance of obedience. What better way to teach them this value than watching a movie on the topic? The movie imparts many positive moral messages, not the least of which is the fact that having a loving family is the best reward of all.

EVAN ALMIGHTY is a funny, heartwarming family movie with a thrilling ending that makes up for the movie’s theological mis-steps, such as the important fact that the movie does not make it clear that, when God appears to us in human form, he always appears as Jesus Christ as noted in John 1.

MR. PEABODY AND SHERMAN is an entertaining animated comedy based on a popular television program from the 1960s, with strong Christian, moral messages overall against paganism and against big government tyranny.

The sinister usurper Scar plots to kill his brother and nephew so he can become King himself. While there are several minor areas which call for discernment in THE LION KING, the good far outweighs the bad, and the film conveys a clear message of hope, reconciliation and appreciation for the majesty of creation.
