Arizona State University wide receiver Jordyn Tyson has officially declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, thanking God for the ways He’s blessed his life.

“First off, and most importantly, I want to thank God. Thank God for my life. It’s because of God that I have an amazing family that supported me through the ups and downs of the game of football, and instilled work ethic and discipline in me at a young age that not only helped me with football, but life as well,” Tyson said on Instagram.

The wide receiver continued: “It’s because of God I’m here at ASU, playing the game I love on the biggest days possible, living out a dream that once started as a prayer. It’s because of God. I’ve been surrounded by incredible teammates and coaches who have pushed me, believed in me, and helped me grow both on and off the field, and I always have love for each and every one of them.”

“It’s because of God that I get to perform in front of the best fans in the world, giving out energy and support every time I get on the field,” Tyson added. “It’s because of God I’ve endured some of the harder challenges in my life, knowing He was using every obstacle to prepare me for what’s next and make me even stronger. On the other side, it’s because of God I have this platform, not only to help and motivate others, but to point more people towards him.”

In the first six games this season, Tyson caught “47 passes for 523 yards and seven touchdowns through six games so far in 2025. He’s 16th in the nation in receiving yards and tied for second in touchdowns,” per Sports Spectrum.

Tyson has continued to improve throughout the season and finished with 61 receptions, 711 yards and eight touchdowns, according to ESPN.

“Regardless of what happens in my life, I’m still gonna be a follower — still gonna have that faith,” he told The Walk Foundation of Who his identity is in. “Yes, sir, I fully trust [God’s plan.] There’s obviously some stuff that I want to happen, but it doesn’t work like that all the time.”

“I feel like my identity is not a football player; my identity is in Christ,” he declared.

Tyson will officially be added to the 2026 NFL Draft list this upcoming year, but no matter what happens, he knows God has a perfect plan for his life.
