Bedtime gets a dose of ‘90s pop with Rockabye Baby’s latest project, “Lullaby Renditions of Backstreet Boys.”
“Rock Your…baby?” Billboard Family joked, adding, “Rockabye Baby will drop its ‘Lullaby Renditions of Backstreet Boys’ on Feb. 13, featuring bedtime-ready reimaginings of several of the group’s #Hot100 top 10s, Billboard Family can exclusively announce.”
The album will include chilled-out versions of some of the Backstreet Boys’ biggest hits, including “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” “I Want It That Way,” “Larger Than Life” and “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart).”

Rockabye Baby is “the world’s leading lullaby brand with over 130 releases and over 4 billion streams to date,” according to the company’s website.
“We transform the songs you love into soothing instrumental lullabies for fans of all ages to enjoy,” the description continued. “Our award-winning catalog spans decades of hits and celebrates a broad mix of beloved artists old and new, from The Beatles to Beyoncé, Prince to Taylor Swift. Rockabye Baby has become a trusted label not only for parents and babies, but anyone who wants to experience their favorite music in a whole new way.”
Rockabye Baby’s creator, Lisa Roth, told San Diego’s CBS 8 that the idea came after shopping for a friend who was expecting a baby.
“I went shopping and saw nothing that I was excited to give her, and I thought, ‘I work at a record label, I think we can do something about this,’” she explained.
While many of Rockabye Baby’s albums cover the music of hard-rockers like AC/DC, Metallica and Radiohead, Roth shared that the company works hard to create covers that will be baby-friendly, comprised of “very organic sounding instruments, like glockenspiel, wood blocks and xylophones.”
“The great thing is, there are no lyrics,” she continued. “You don’t have to worry about harming your baby’s psyche early on.”
The artists who have been covered by Rockabye Baby have been flattered and excited about these musical tributes to their work.
“As a musician, you want your music to live on forever. In my mind, this is a perfect way to introduce a new generation to my music,” Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler wrote in the liner notes of the album covering his work. “I have a grandson who I can’t wait to play these for.”
Def Leppard’s Joe Elliot wrote, “I am very flattered to have our songs covered in such a unique way. To think that our music will inspire children like my own is a good feeling! With this album, we can truly Rock People of All Ages!”
With this latest release, Rockabye Baby will introduce the Backstreet Boys’ music to a whole new generation of listeners!
