‘Wave Of Gratitude’: Candace Cameron Bure Announces Social Media Challenge

By Movieguide® Contributor

Candace Cameron Bure is focusing on gratitude as the holiday season approaches.

“Thanksgiving is coming up, Christmas is right around the corner, and I don’t know about you, but it is so easy for me to get caught up in the whole season,” the actress said in an Instagram video. “Don’t get me wrong, you know I love it, but I want to do a little something different this year.”

Bure explained that, before all the demands of the holidays start to take over, she wants to remind “each other what the season’s all about, and I want to do that with gratitude.”

“Being intentional about gratitude has been something that has changed my life,” she explained, adding, “I’m going to post things that I’m grateful for, and I would love for you to join me. I want to see if we can start this huge wave of gratitude on social media.”

She then shared three things she’s grateful for: “A job that I love…Incredible food that I get to enjoy, mainly made by my husband…THIS COMMUNITY.”

Bure is all about the holidays — the actress is known for her roles in Christmas movies, and 2023 will see her star in MY CHRISTMAS HERO, which will premiere on Nov. 24.

A description of the movie reads:

In My Christmas Hero, US Army reservist and orthopedic physician, Nicole Ramsey (Bure) is dedicated to serving military service members and their families at the Joint Military Base in Lacey, Washington, home of I Corps and the 62nd Airlift Wing. This Christmas, with the help of many dedicated heroes, Dr. Ramsey is on a mission to honor a special fallen soldier and bring much needed healing to her own family.

Bure also celebrated Great American Pure Flix’s upcoming Christmas programming lineup with a recent Instagram post.

“Always smiling with this bunch #greatamericanfamily,” she captioned a photo of herself, arm in arm with GAF stars Lori Loughlin, Danica McKellar and Cameron Mathison.

Movieguide® previously reported on Great American Pure Flix’s Christmas schedule:

Great American Pure Flix is already in the Christmas spirit with new movies releasing and a focus on keeping Christ at the center of holiday celebrations.

“This really is the most wonderful time of the year, and an extra-special time for families and friends,” Bill Abbott, president and CEO of Great American Media, said in a statement about the network’s holiday plans. “We are excited to begin spreading the joy of Christmas to our Great American Pure Flix members with uplifting and inspiring movies and programs in this season.”

Great American Pure Flix pledged to “celebrate the impact of great stories and themes” through their Christmas movies, which will include stars like Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Jen Lilley, and Trevor Donovan.
