Chip and Joanna Gaines’ New Show Pits Humans Against Hamsters (We’re Not Kidding)

Chip and Joanna Gaines offered a first look at their new show HAMSTER VS HUMAN which pits humans against hamster counterparts in head-to-head battles.
“Who will reign supreme?” the hosts of the show Sarah Sherman and Kyle Brandt said in the teaser. “Will it be humans or hamsters? Teams of humans will face off against the ‘hamstars’ in the extraordinary battleground battles sized for humans and hamsters.”
The teaser featured some of the battles that will take place on the show with contestants running on hamster wheels, performing actions in hamster balls, completing mazes and eating competitions.
HAMSTER VS HUMANS is one of three new shows coming to the Magnolia Network from the minds of Chip and Joanna. Their other shows are ROLLER JAM, pitched as DANCING WITH THE STARS but on roller skates, and SECOND CHANCE TALENT SHOW where people get a chance to display their talents.

“We believe in second chances, in people’s dreams,” Joanna told TODAY about SECOND CHANCE TALENT SHOW. “So many people have dreams that need to be unearthed again and dusted off and hopefully we can inspire people to go for it.”
All three of these shows come from the Gaines’ lives and passions, something that has been present throughout all of their shows and helped them be so relatable.
“TV shows impact the culture, but Chip and Jo impact people’s lives. They provide something very rare in America today: a sunshiny hopefulness that you can make things with your own two hands and your life will be better for it,” Warner Bros. Discovery’s CEO David Zaslav told The Hollywood Reporter in 2021.
HAMSTER VS HUMAN will be available to stream on Max starting on Nov. 21.
