Great American Media announced that it greenlit its popular drama COUNTY RESCUE for a third season.

“COUNTY RESCUE exemplifies the heart and mission of Great American Media – telling stories that celebrate faith and family,” said Bill Abbott, the president and CEO of Great American Media, in a press release. “Audiences have deeply connected with these characters and their journeys, and we are thrilled to continue sharing their inspiring stories. Season three will deliver even more heartfelt moments that honor the everyday heroes who dedicate their lives to helping others.”

The show has placed a new spin on the medical drama by portraying characters who lean on their faith while navigating the difficulties of working in as emergency responders and facing grueling injuries every day.

“We’re not just about the high-stakes calls,” said producer Shawn Boskie. “We’re interested in how these characters navigate faith, ethics, and friendship in a job that can be both rewarding and heartbreaking. […] Our goal is to honor EMT workers. We didn’t want to make this a cartoon, but at the same time, we don’t have the same gritty, mainstream sorts of emergencies that you might see on network shows, it’s really more focused on the team.”

“We really try to put God in the story, but He’s not just a reference […] we see Him working through some of the situations that a couple of the characters that are faith-oriented would realistically face,” Boskie continued.

This focus on honoring God while realistically portraying EMT work has resonated with audiences who enjoy the genre but want something more than what mainstream TV has to offer. A portion of Movieguide®’s review reads:

The first two episodes of COUNTY RESCUE are compelling, engaging, dramatic, and sometimes funny. The dialogue is nicely written, and the performances are really good and appealing. In fact, the two half-hour episodes are fairly comparable to what viewers can find on Network TV medical series. However, the first two episodes of COUNTY RESCUE have a strong Christian, moral worldview, with references to God and His providence. They also have references to prayer, including an answered prayer in the Name of Jesus. COUNTY RESCUE is an uplifting, inspiring program for families.

Since launching as a network in 2021, Great American Family has proven that audiences crave morally grounded, Christian shows and movies. It has quickly become one of the most popular networks across TV and has continued to find success through its streaming app.

It is encouraging to see the network continue to devote itself to high-quality, Christian entertainment that gives audiences an uplifting alternative to the morally dubious shows most commonly found. Season 3 of COUNTY RESCUE will air on the Great American Family Network in 2026 and will also be available to stream on Great American Pure Flix.
