Disney Announces Jared Leto Will Star In Upcoming TRON 3

TRON 3 is finally moving forward at Disney!
The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Jared Leto, a longtime champion of the project, will star in the movie, with Joachim Ronning in talks to direct.
The movie will be titled TRON: ARES with Jesse Wigutow writing. It will continue the storylines from TRON and TRON: LEGACY.
TRON was released in 1982 and starred Jeff Bridges as a video game designer who gets transported into his own game. It did not perform well at the box office, but it was praised for its innovative special effects.

This masterful science fiction epic is not only very creative in execution, with engaging characters, and high production values, but also its worldview is strikingly biblical and Christian with a few odd bits of humanist thought awkwardly presented. Although there is brief language, some action violence, and some light romance, the movie may be enjoyed by older children (with some caution) and adults alike
The sequel saw Bridges return, along with Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde. It didn’t perform as well as studioheads wanted at the box office, so a planned third movie was scrapped.

At the heart of it, TRON: LEGACY has a very powerful, redemptive father-son story. Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund are terrific as the father and son. These aspects of the story, along with the amazing visual effects and music, will capture the hearts and the minds of viewers. However, the movie contains many references to Zen meditation, which could have been rebuked more strongly than they are. Also, there is lots of action violence and some annoying metro-sexual characters, so caution is warranted.
There have been attempts to make a third movie — LION’s Garth Davis tried to get a sequel off the ground in 2020, but was unable to make it happen.
TRON fans can’t wait to see the next installment in the franchise!
