Former BACHELOR Star’s Son Gets Baptized: ‘Thank You, Jesus!’

Sean Lowe’s son just got baptized, and the former BACHELOR star couldn’t be happier.

“It doesn’t get any better than this. My dad baptizing my boy. Thank you, Jesus!,” Lowe shared in a video on Instagram on Sept. 29.

Lowe’s dad, Jared, stood in a pool with Lowe’s son, 8-year-old Samuel, and said, “Every time I see his dad, his whole life I said, ‘That’s my boy.’ And I know that my son [Lowe], every time he sees him, he says, ‘That’s my boy.’ Isn’t that the greatest thing?”

He made the comparison that just like he’s a father to his son and accepts him, Lowe does the same for Samuel, and God does, too.

“When [God] sees you, which is all the time, when he thinks about you, which is all the time, he says, Samuel. That’s my boy,” he told Samuel. “You’re a child of the living God, Samuel.”

“Why are we baptizing you, brother?” Lowes’s dad asked Samuel.

“Because I have Jesus in my heart,” he said.

Jared explained what baptism means and that it’s a visual proclamation of faith and commitment to Christ, then dipped him into the pool. As he rose out of the water, everyone clapped and cheered.

On Jared’s Instagram, he shared photos from the day and a scrapbook of pictures of himself baptizing four of his other grandkids.

“This morning- The greatest blessing in the universe, baptizing your grandchildren!!! So proud of you Samuel!” he said.

Lowe previously shared a sweet moment of Samuel with Lowe’s grandfather. In the video, a young Samuel chases him with a fly swatter.

“I’m gonna shoo you off!” Samuel said as he chased him.

“Here I go!” Lowe’s grandfather said as he evaded the swatter.

Lowe captioned the video, “94 years old, WWII vet, retired pastor, and pretend bug to his great grandson.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Lowe’s faith in THE BACHELOR:

Lowe used his time on the show and his subsequent platform to share how God redeemed his past and allowed him to build his testimony.

“At the age of 24, I think I finally became a man and I said ‘alright, Jesus, let’s do this again.’ I don’t know who I would be without Jesus in my heart. Jesus shapes the way I think, the way I see the world,” Lowe said. “I don’t know if anyone has found Jesus through me talking about not having sex, but I think it’s now certainly more evident than ever that I love Jesus, and that I’m different because I love Jesus.”

Sean married Catherine in 2014 and became the first Bachelor to marry the woman he proposed to on the show.
