
Fox Drops Fall Premiere Dates — When’s Your Favorite Show Airing?

Fox just dropped the premiere dates for its fall shows. Keep reading to see when your favorite is airing.
“This year, we created a terrific collection of originals that deepens our network’s legacy of delivering unexpected, unforgettable characters and stories,” said Fox Television Network President Michael Thorn. “We’re bullish about the future and optimistic about the fun and engaging entertainment in store for our viewers everywhere.”
A new drama called RESCUE: HI-SURF is set to debut. This show follows “the personal and professional lives of the heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O’ahu—the most famous and dangerous stretch of coastline in the world.” It will premiere on Sept. 22 after the Fox NFL doubleheader.
Deadline reported, “Fox’s Animation Domination block premieres Sunday, Sept. 29, with new seasons of THE SIMPSONS (8-8:30 pm ET/PT), the longest-running primetime scripted show in television history, the time-period premiere of UNIVERSAL BASIC GUYS (8:30-9 PM ET/PT), BOB’S BURGERS (9-9:30 PM ET/PT) and KRAPOPOLIS (9:30-10 PM ET/PT).”
Viewers can also look forward to the fifth season of Texas firefighter drama 911: LONESTAR on Monday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The twelfth season of THE MASKED SINGER begins Wednesday, Sept. 25 (8-9 p.m. ET/PT), while Season 2 of the game show THE FLOOR premieres the hour after.
A new murder mystery series titled MURDER IN A SMALL TOWN “will debut with a special 90-minute series premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 24 (8-9:30 pm ET/PT).”
“The series follows a world-weary detective and an enigmatic librarian as they investigate murders in their seemingly perfect community,” a synopsis reads.
Gordon Ramsay’s HELL’S KITCHEN will return for Season 23 on Sept. 26, and Season 3 of CRIME SCENE KITCHEN will premiere after that.
The complete list of Fox’s new shows coming this fall includes RESCUE: HI-SURF, MURDER IN A SMALL TOWN, DOC, UNIVERSAL BASIC GUYS, GOING DUTCH and EXTRACTED.
Returning shows include 9-1-1: LONE STAR, ACCUSED, BOB’S BURGERS, KRAPOPOLIS, THE SIMPSONS, UNSCRIPTED: THE FLOOR, HELL’S KITCHEN, THE MASKED SINGER, CRIME SCENE KITCHEN.
Other shows that will return midseason are ALERT: MISSING PERSONS UNIT, THE CLEANING LADY, FAMILY GUY, ANIMAL CONTROL, THE GREAT NORTH, GRIMSBURG, EXTRACTED, LEGO MASTERS, MASTERCHEF, NAME THAT TUNE, NEXT LEVEL CHEF and SPECIAL FORCES: WORLD’S TOUGHEST TEST.
The only show which will not return this fall is HOUSEBROKEN.

Deadline just released the cable and streaming programs list for the remainder of 2024, including dates for YELLOWSTONE and THE CHOSEN Season 4.
There’s no premiere week this year, a trickle-down effect from the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, but many popular series will have new seasons to show fans.
“All of the broadcast networks have set return dates for most of their shows,” but “series return to production with lower episode counts this truncated season,” Deadline reported June 2.
The roster lists numerous cable and streaming programs through the end of the year, though many are still listed as to be announced (TBA).
Upcoming 2024 titles include DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD (PBS Kids, Season 7) on August 12, THE CHOSEN (The CW, Season 4) on September 1, YELLOWSTONE (“Paramount Network, Season 5B; final season; moved from November 2023”) November 10, NCIS (CBS, Season 22) and NCIS: ORIGINS (CBS, new drama series) will release sometime in the fall (TBA).
