Fox News anchor Shannon Bream says her “real agenda” is to share God’s love with others.
“We’re not called to carry out anyone’s political or news agenda,” she said during an episode of CBN’s “Faith in Culture” podcast. “As believers, we’re called to carry out Christ’s agenda, which is to reach people.”
Bream also stressed the importance of seeing non-believers as humans, rather than enemies.
“If you demonize [those you disagree with] one way or the other, you’re not having conversations that would bring them to God’s grace and love,” she explained. “And really, that has to be more important than any other fight that we want to win during our day.”

Bream’s strong Christian faith is what inspired her latest book, Nothing Is Impossible with God, which focuses on biblical figures who faced adversity and came out stronger on the other side.
“I’ve always loved this collection of stories,” she told the Christian Post. “They kind of lived in the back of my brain — these stories of overcoming.”
It’s something Bream can relate to firsthand. The Fox News anchor had been living with a rare genetic cornea condition that left her with debilitating chronic pain. She eventually underwent surgery to correct the condition and now lives pain-free 98% of the time.
“I’m literally looking out the window at the leaves on a tree, and it’s a miracle that I can see them individually,” she shared. “I can read street signs. I’ve worn glasses since second or third grade, so aside from the relief of the pain, which was the number one issue, I now have vision I never would have had before.”
In an interview with the Washington Examiner, Bream said, “In writing the book, I felt like it’s important to share just how tough your own struggle has been, and maybe somebody else reading and walking through something says, ‘Okay, there’s hope in this process, pain doesn’t have to be without purpose, and there is a way to walk through this to the other side.’”
“So I’m happy to share my story,” she continued. “Again, I wouldn’t have wished it on my own enemy, but I really did gain a lot from it, and I hope that if somebody is reading the book and is in that place, they’ll be able to feel that they’re not alone.”
Bream’s strong Christian faith has carried her through hardships, and now, she shares that faith with others in hopes that it can help them in the same way.
