Christian artist Forrest Frank’s viral music touches people around the world, but his sudden fame has him questioning if it’s worth it, especially when it comes to his family’s wellbeing.

He recently opened up about how his popularity tainted what was supposed to be a fun family time at Disney.

“We walked in, and I just want to say this gracefully — I totally understand it,” the “Your Way Is Better” singer said on podcaster Bryce Crawford’s show. “I understand people wanting to come up. And I think it’s great, I really do. But there is this — we’ve crossed a threshold. We walked into Disney, and it was like, it was like a zombie apocalypse.”

Frank shared that the moment made him nervous to the point of having to call security.

“We ran into a corner. My heart’s pounding. People are like, ‘Forrest, Forrest, Forrest, Forrest…'” he recalled.

Moments like these make Frank pray and reconsider his life as a famous singer.

“We are trying to figure out what is that — what’s the limit? Like I said, I’m okay stopping here,” he said. “But also, lives are getting changed.”

Frank admitted it’s a challenge to balance family, his spiritual life and fame.

“I’ve been in prayer sessions, and my wife calls me. She’s like, ‘Where are you? I need you.’ Isn’t that an interesting push and pull of the reality versus the spiritual side? So, all that being said, we are in a process,” he said.

He and his wife, Grace, are asking themselves some tough questions.

“Do we keep going? Do I put the pedal on the gas and we 100x what God’s doing?” he said. “And I’m also so honored that the kids are loving, loving it. That’s like the highest honor to me. But I don’t want my dream to affect someone else when it’s not their dream. You know, that’s not my son’s dream to have his dad always be shared. And that’s not my wife’s dream.”

Nothing has been decided yet, and Frank said, “I’ll let you know what we land on.”

His viral, God-centered songs are leading a boom in Christian music’s popularity.

Frank’s recent hit, “Your Way Is Better,” inspired a viral TikTok dance with over 800,000 videos, and his Child of God II album made it to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart in May.

“For whatever reason, He’s chosen to give me some songs that have related to some people,” Frank previously told the Christian Post of the mission God’s given him. “If He shuts it off and doesn’t give me any more songs, that’s cool. If He continues to bless it, that’s great,” he explained. “I want to continue to give Jesus glory. My name will fade away just like all of ours one day, but at the end of time and for all of eternity, one name will remain: Jesus Christ.”

It’s admirable to see Frank willing to reconsider role in the music world for the sake of his family and faith.
