The Seattle Seahawks faced off the Los Angeles Rams for NFC Championship game, and Seattle’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba emerged as the top player of the night, securing 153 receiving yards, with the longest catch being 42-yards, and one touchdown.

The Seahawks beat the Rams 31-27 on Sunday, and after the game, Smith-Njigba praised God for the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl.

“I just want to give all glory to God. Without Him, I’m nothing,” the wide receiver declared after the game. “Just what He has had on this team and this city, so I just want to give Him all the glory. It’s an honor to be here in Seattle. It’s an honor to lace them up with these guys. For us to be going to the Super Bowl is a dream come true.”

He echoed these sentiments in a post-game press conference.

“I want to give all glory to God. Win or lose, draw. I wouldn’t be here without Him, without the sacrifices that everyone makes. Family, friends, teammates, coaches. Super honored to be a Seahawk and to give everything on the field for my brothers,” he told the media.

Smith-Njigba called the moment a “It’s a dream come true.”

“Just all the work that we’ve put in in the offseason, in the summer, throughout this season. All the people, the doubters, the naysayers. It feels awesome to have a group, to have a collective that, like I said, plays for the guy next to him. I’m honored to be a part of that,” the athlete emphasized.

He’s obviously grateful for his teammates and called out quarterback Sam Darnold — who’s now wrapping up his first season with the Seahawks by heading to the Super Bowl — for his leadership throughout the game.

“Just a true leader, a true competitor. Leader. He led us today. Can’t say enough about Sam, man. It’s been a great first year, we have one more to go. For him to overcome [what he] had to overcome, I’m rolling with Sam all day. We believe in him. This building believes in him, this city believes in him. It’s awesome to run out on the field with him,” Smith-Njigba said of Darnold.

Super Bowl LX is set for Sunday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m. ET. The Seattle Seahawks will take on the New England Patriots, who beat out the Denver Broncos 10-7 on Sunday.
