Jenny Marrs frequently uses her social media platform to share words that uplift and encourage others, a skill which she is considering using to write another book.

“I’ve been processing through an idea for a new book,” the FIXER TO FABULOUS star began a recent Instagram post accompanied by a beautiful photo of the sky. “To be perfectly honest, I thought this last book was it. I love writing but I really don’t love the process of launching and marketing a book and holding my breath to see if it resonates with readers. I was so grateful to have written the two books I did — it was most assuredly a dream fulfilled.”

But for the past week, she’s had a “familiar stirring.” She shared that her next possible book may be based on Lamentations 3:21 which reads, “Yet I still dare to hope…”

“In the not-so-sneaky way of the enemy, doubt seeped in,” Marrs said. “I had considered calling my friend and literary agent to fill him in (and to see if it was a viable book idea), but then, just yesterday, I thought that the idea won’t actually work.”

She could justify delaying the project. Her family is in a busy season.

“I have six house renovations happening right now and four more in the works. The kids’ schedules are busier than ever. I am either rushing to a job site or a soccer field these days. My weekends are jammed packed with basketball tournaments.”

“But, God,” Marrs continued. “As I was searching for a rogue lunch box this morning, I looked out the laundry room window and saw the sky. My mind when straight to the words that follow verse 21, the reason for our great hope.”

“Yet I still dare to hope [when I remember this]: The unfailing love of the Lord never ends! …Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each day,” she wrote, quoting Lamentations 3:21-23.

“His mercies begin afresh each day,” she emphasized. “Just as the sun rises in the sky without fail, we can place our hope in Him. So, maybe that was the nudge I needed. And, maybe I’ll crack open the old laptop and see what He wants me to say.”

She then took a moment to encourage her audience: “I just wanted to share in case someone else is facing down an idea that seems a bit implausible. Let’s dare to hope together and see where He takes us. 🤍”

In a follow-up post yesterday, she thanked her fans for their encouragement.

“I am not rushing into this book, but I do feel like God has placed a story in my path that’s worth sharing,” Marrs said.

Her most recent book, Trust God, Love People, debuted last fall.

“I deeply believe we all have a story to share,” she said of the book on Instagram. “I believe there’s so much value in being vulnerable with our sojourn on this earth. When we share and, most importantly, when we listen, we can learn, grow, be inspired, and be encouraged. Sometimes, that small spark of hope within our souls can even be ignited by someone else’s story.”

Whether you’re tackling a big project like writing a book or simply trying to be faithful in the little things God’s set before you today, let’s all “dare to hope.”
