THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW will come to an end after this season is over.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS, both in Los Angeles and in New York,” Clarkson said on Feb. 2. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons.”

She noted gratitude for her band, crew and fans.

“This season will be my last hosting TKCS,” she said. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”

Clarkson added, “I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on THE VOICE from time to time…you never know where I might show up next. But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”

ABC News reported that Clarkson, a mom of two, started her show in 2019. Season 7 episodes will continue to air through the fall.

Clarkson’s ex-husband and father of her two children, Brandon Blackstock, died in August last year from cancer. As her kids now only have one parent, it makes sense that she would want to spend more time with them.

“There’s been a lot for our family recently,” she said last month, adding that there have been many meaningful moments of bonding and comfort in their home.

In an episode of her talk show in October, she said, “I look at my daughter constantly…it’s more conversations with her, and I look at her and I’m just like, ‘Look, I’m trying my best here. I’m trying my best, so I know you’re going to end up in therapy one day.’ I don’t know what for, but I’m trying my best to limit [her pain], you know what I’m saying?”

When Blackstock passed, Clarkson cancelled all of her shows.

“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” she said. “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill, and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows, and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”

As for now, the next episode of THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW airs every weekday on NBC.
