We All Need Winter. Kirk Cameron Explains Why.

Kirk Cameron explained why he thinks winter “might be the most important season of your spiritual life.”

“When God built the world, He didn’t skip winter,” he said in an episode of “The Kirk Cameron Show.” “I think it’s because for things to truly live and flourish, they need rest just as much as they need sunshine and warmth, and I think the same is true for you and me.”

Cameron explained that winter gives us a “stillness that masks unseen growth below,” adding, “I think that’s what God is doing in you and me. He’s building endurance during the winter. He’s building humility and faith.”

“This is when we need to trust Him during the dark and cold times, even when God seems silent,” he continued. “It’s those times that teach us that God is really all we need. He is enough. He is sufficient….It’s about trust in the faithfulness of God.”

In addition to “The Kirk Cameron Show,” Cameron has lots of exciting projects he’s currently promoting. Last year, he celebrated the release of his latest book, Born to Be Brave, which he called a “guidebook for America’s spiritual comeback” in an interview with Fox News.

“I really want readers to feel equipped to overcome our opponents and start seeing culture as something we are called to create,” he explained, adding that his prayer for readers is that it “will encourage you to boldly engage friends, family and your community with gospel truths that positively transform all of society.”

Cameron also recently announced his new children’s show IGGY AND MR. KIRK would be streaming on Pure Flix.

“I created this series with Brave Books to offer children and families a source of uplifting entertainment that’s both fun and meaningful,” he said in a statement. “With IGGY AND MR. KIRK, we’re committed to telling stories that parents can trust and kids can enjoy.”
