Clean comedian Nate Bargatze is on a mission to bring family-friendly content and comedy to the masses.

His latest endeavor? Acting in his upcoming movie THE BREADWINNER. He also created a media company called Nateland Entertainment. Its motto? “Good, clean, funny.”

Deadline reported, “Through Nateland, Bargatze has his sights on conquering film and television, proving that the theatrical age of comedy is far from over.”

THE BREADWINNER is slated to release March 16, 2026, and will star Mandy Moore alongside the comic.

“We’re trying to see if I can do it, my acting. That’s the fun thing is, I feel like all the audience is going to be like, ‘can he make a movie?’” Bargatze said of his first foray onto the big screen.

“I have an acting coach. It’s been great. And you’re on set, you know. Yesterday, we just shot for like 12 hours to like 10 o’clock at night or something.”

Bargatze leans on the movie’s experienced cast.

“Everybody’s very nice,” he continued. “I got some people that I’ve known in the movie, so I’m very comfortable with [them]. Mandy Moore is playing my wife. She’s great. The children that are my children, they’re like, real deal actors. So, I mean, I’ve got myself around people that know what they’re doing.”

People in the comment section of the clip expressed excitement for Bargatze’s new endeavors.

“Congratulations!! Looking forward to your debut!” one person said. Another person added, “We all believe in you and support you!”

He’s currently the No. 1 comedian in the world and No. 12 in live tour ticket sales, so his pivot away from comedy toward entertainment is surprising. But he recently said he doesn’t “want to overstay my welcome” as in stand-up, and he has big plans. He wants to be the next Walt Disney.

“Entertainment seems to me in this mode of heartland, a word that’s been overused a bazillion times,” said Felix Verdigets, the CEO of Nateland. “Everyone is capitalizing on it right now, and some of it is going to feel inorganic. What’s going to separate our content is that this is how we’ve always done it. It’s very authentic, it’s very organic.”

No matter the trajectory of his career, Bargatze leans on his faith as he entertains.

“I am second to God. Second to your family, second to the audience, second to everybody,” he told the New York Times. “You live to serve, so it‘s very much a calling in that aspect. I just want to make something where all of them can be in the room together. It‘s driven by a bigger purpose for me, but everybody has their own things.”

It’s incredible to see one of the world’s top entertainers keep his focus on God and family above all else.
