In a new episode of the What’s Up Podcast with Sports Spectrum, Penn State wide receiver Kyron Hudson “thanks God” every day for “the dream that I’m living.”

“It’s just truly a blessing. Because being away from family and having just a group of believers is what takes it to a whole other level,” Hudson said of his faith. “So, just having a group of believers that were able to do bible study each and every week, go to church on Sunday, and just having that group of people is what takes your mind away from things. And then we’re all on the same process of just growing our faith with our Lord and Savior.”

Hudson then talked about his pre-game routine.

“I walk the field, and then I take about five to ten minutes just to meditate and just stay present in the moment,” he revealed. “And then I just thank God for where I’m at in the dream that I’m living. And then from there, just really get my mind focused on the game and just really stay present in the moment.”

For the last three seasons, Hudson played for the USC Trojans, where he secured “34 receptions for 345 yards (10.1 avg) with 5 TDs, and 1 tackle and 1 blocked kick on special teams while appearing in 28 games (with 3 starts).”

This season, he transferred over the Penn State and looks to make a big impact for the Nitany Lions.

“Jesus, thank you for everything!” Hudson wrote in a post on social media. Hudson shared several photos of himself in his new uniform.

After he transferred to Penn State, Hudson revealed it was a school he had always wanted to go to.

”I think Penn State is just a school that everybody wants to go to, you know, and having the opportunity to come here, it’s always been a school that I wanted to go to,” he told The Daily Collegian. “So it’s cool to be able to play here and play with my new brothers.”

The best part about Penn State is that it’s close to his family.

“I think just having that mindset of family’s always gonna be there, you know, family’s gonna come every single game. They’re coming here this weekend. They’re gonna be out here every single month,” Hudson shared. “So just knowing that they’re gonna be there regardless, (I) had to make the best decision for myself.”

In several other posts, Hudson shared many photos of himself on the field, but added a few biblical quotes or Bible verses to share his faith.

“My whole life proves that God is good,” one quote read.

Another said, “God hears you. Just be patient.”

One Bible verse reads, “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.”

Kyron Hudson is on a mission to grow his faith on and off the field. The best part about his new school is the brotherhood on the team. Hudson explained that having people to go to church with and do Bible studies with helps them grow closer to the Lord together.
