Blogger Perez Hilton apologized for past behavior as he continues on his faith journey.

“I made a lot of mistakes in my past. We all have. Nobody’s perfect,” he said in a recent Instagram video. “But my mistakes are very public. The internet is forever…I carry with me deep shame and regret. I’m sorry. I will continue to apologize. I have also reached out to make amends, I’ve apologized publicly and privately to dozens of people.”

Hilton continued, “I made a lot of mistakes in my past, but I know that God loves me.”

“I know that God loves me, God has forgiven me, and — almost more importantly — I have forgiven myself,” he said. “What matters is today [and] how I behave today.”

Hilton said, “Not only did God save me in so many ways, but God gave me a new lease on life and a new opportunity to truly be better and do better.”

The celebrity blogger has been sharing his faith journey with fans following a battle with sepsis that left him hospitalized for 21 days.

“One of the most special things about this experience is that God presented Himself to me,” he shared in a YouTube video. “It was not a feeling. God presented Himself to me. And I grew up Catholic. I was baptized, had my communion, confirmed, went to Jesuit school for seven years — but I was never a believer until now.”

Hilton continued, “I had my heart open before. I wanted to believe, and [now] I don’t have to hope to believe. I know now. So, that’s amazing. Every day, I will be grateful to God.”

The blogger has been continuing to recover from his hospitalization at home, spending time with his children — he is father to Mario, 13, Mia, 10, and Mayte, 8 — and mother. Hilton is also turning over a new leaf and going sober.

“I have zero desire to drink again,” he said in a recent Instagram video. “I’m not going to do it, and I don’t feel like I’m missing out.”

While Hilton’s lifestyle contradicts the Bible, the gossip blogger has expressed his desire to make some changes, including attending church regularly and enroll his children in a local Catholic school.

We pray that this seed of faith grows deeply in Hilton’s life, and he is able to draw closer to the Lord through a life of repentance and sanctification.
