Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin have no regrets about their decision to leave the Hollywood lifestyle behind for Florida.

“I’m having the time of my life. I feel like it’s been a rebirth for our family,” Flavin told Fox News Digital. “Since my entire family moved to the East Coast, we’re having such a great time. It’s new friends, new adventures, really great people. I’ve met some incredible friends that I never had in LA. Sly and I are so enjoying our time there.”

Stallone and Flavin didn’t make the decision on a whim, though. He told his three daughters their plans to move on their reality show THE FAMILY STALLONE last year.

“After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we’re going to go to Florida,” he said. “We’re gonna sell this house. We already have the place, it’s a done deal.”

The ROCKY star couldn’t be happier with the move.

“I love it. First of all, the air seems to always be clean. We’re very, very near the water and that makes my wife incredibly happy. It makes me happy, and it’s just something about it. It’s just so lush,” he said of Florida, adding, “I went to college there for a couple of years. So, I’m not a stranger to the environment, but it fits my personality much better.”

He may no longer live in Hollywood, but Stallone continues to be recognized for his great work in the movie industry. Recently, he was acknowledged by President Trump at the recent Kennedy Center Honors alongside several other celebrities.

“Billions and billions of people have watched them over the years,” Trump said, referring to the work of Stallone and the other celebrities honored, which included Kiss, Gloria Gaynor, Michael Crawford and George Strait.

Stallone took to Instagram to celebrate the special moment. “Honored to receive this year’s Kennedy Center Honors medal for championing the performing arts. Thank you all for the support over the years, keep punching! 🥊🥊” he said in the post.

Fans in the comment section thanked Stallone for his work.

“Your courage and strength have always been a landmark in my life, like Rocky’s first triumph. Today I rejoice seeing you receive this well-deserved medal. Congratulations, Stallone! 🥊💖” one person said.

Another commented, “Mr. Stallone, you deserve every award out there! ROCKY is art at its finest – it changes lives. Thank you for inspiring my family to push ourselves to be the best we can be on a daily basis.”

It seems that Stallone and his family are thriving outside the Hollywood bubble.
