Sylvester Stallone couldn’t be happier with his life in Florida after moving out of Hollywood, saying that his new lifestyle resonates more with his personality than Los Angeles.

“First of all, the air seems to always be clean. We’re very, very near the water and that makes my wife incredibly happy. It makes me happy, and it’s just something about it. It’s just so lush,” the ROCKY star told Fox News Digital recently.

He added, “I went to college there for a couple of years. So, I’m not a stranger to the environment, but it fits my personality much better.”

Stallone broke the news of the move to his children during the second season of their reality TV show THE FAMILY STALLONE last year.

“After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we’re going to go to Florida,” he told daughters Scarlet, Sistine and Sophia, all in their 20s.

But finding a home that met their expectations was a bit challenging.

“We looked at some of the houses built after Covid, and they were monstrosities,” Stallone told Vernada. “Monumental structures, but none of them embraced you or made you feel warm. You felt as though you were in a hotel lobby.”

The couple eventually found a house built in 2014, adding their own personal touches to their new residence.

“I’ve always made every house we’ve ever had a home,” Flavin said. “I don’t care if someone spills something. I can replace the rug or get it cleaned. We have three dogs and a cat and lots of children—nothing we own is precious. Our family is precious, but the material things are not precious.”

They couple hired California designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to help decorate. “The house was given a loungy vibe. All of the custom pieces are deep and comfortable, and the fabrics used — while mainly in a light palette — are all performance fabrics, designed to withstand family life and dogs and parties,” Bullard said.

His wife loves their new place, telling Fox News in 2023, “It’s an incredible move, I have to say I’m really happy with our move and our change.”

“I was born and raised there, two of our kids were born there, but now everyone’s out, our daughters moved to the East Coast … so there wasn’t really anything left for me in California,” she continued. “A few of our best friends also moved, so I think it’s [a] good change, just making new friends, living a totally different lifestyle, I love it, I’m really happy.”

Like many other celebrities, life away from the glitz and glamor of Hollywood has made all the difference for Stallone and his family.
