CELEBRITY WHEEL OF FORTUNE will get a fresh spin for its sixth season as Ryan Seacrest steps in to fill longtime host Pat Sajak’s role.

Seacrest will join WHEEL OF FORTUNE mainstay Vanna White on the show.

Sajak’s bid WHEEL OF FORTUNE farewell last year, but his final CELEBRITY season kicked off on April 30, 2025.

About his final season, Sajak joked, “Now let me explain something. I was going to be one of the celebrities playing this season,” he said. “Unfortunately, our casting folks found a lot of funnier people, so I’m back to hosting. It’s been a while but it’s like riding a bike except I don’t have to wear spandex.”

Season 5 saw stars including Joe Manganiello, Tiffany Haddish, Matt Walsh, Josh Gad, Katharine McPhee, Andrew Rannells, Pete Holmes, Randall Park and OFFICE alums Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper and Oscar Nuñez compete.

ABC officially confirmed the renewal of CELEBRITY WHEEL OF FORTUNE back in May and announced its Friday, Sept. 26 premiere date on July 17. Season 6’s celebrity lineup has yet to be revealed.

The show differs from the regular WHEEL OF FORTUNE because gives back to those in need. Its logline explains, “CELEBRITY WHEEL OF FORTUNE welcomes celebrity contestants to come spin the world’s most famous wheel and solve word puzzles for a chance to win up to one million dollars. All of the money won by the celebrity contestants will go to a charity of their choice.”

White plans to stick around as the famed letter-turner on celebrity show, and she and Seacrest have already been working closely together since last fall when he filled Sajak’s legendary role.

“Hosting WHEEL OF FORTUNE is a dream job,” Seacrest previously said. “I’ve been a fan of this show since I was a kid watching it in Atlanta with my family, and I know how special it is that ‘Wheel’ has been in your living rooms for the past 40 years,” he said. “I’m just so grateful to be invited in. I also know I’ve got some very big shoes to fill, so let’s play WHEEL OF FORTUNE.”

The duo frequently share moments together on social media.

Last month for National Best Friend Day, Seacrest and White shared photos riding bikes, skiing and spending time together in a post to the WHEEL OF FORTUNE Instagram, with the caption “20 years of friendship and counting! Happy #NationalBestFriendDay! 💚”
