When Will HEARTLAND Season 18 Arrive in the US?
By Movieguide® Contributor
Heartland wrapped Season 18 filming, and fans have a lot to look forward to from the family-friendly show.
The season already premiered in Canada, and the U.S. debut usually follows close behind.
TV Insider Heartland-season-18-us-premiere-date-cast-plot/">reported, “The most recent season of Heartland premiered in the United States about six months after it premiered in Canada, so given Season 18 premiered on Canada’s CBC TV on October 6, it seems safe to assume the new season will debut on the U.S. streaming service UP Faith & Family in mid-2025, probably in April or May.”
The new season revolves around a drought at The Heartland Ranch. Ironically, the weather in which the actors had to film was extremely wet. The show’s star, Amber Marshall, Heartland-showrunner-says-dynamic-characters-still-have-stories-to-tell">said, “We were shooting a drought in one of the wettest seasons we’ve ever felt. It was quite a challenge showing characters out there talking about how if we don’t have rain, we’re not going to make it, in this lush green pasture.”
Another focus in the season is a big dispute with the neighbors over the sale of beef.
“They are selling beef to a lot of the same venues that we would be,” Marshall Heartland-showrunner-says-dynamic-characters-still-have-stories-to-tell">explained. “It’s head-to-head rivalry with your next-door neighbor, and that’s why Lou steps up and tries to use her business background to make a go of the profitable side of the ranch.”
In a previous conversation, the actress Heartland-star-thinks-this-is-the-secret-to-shows-success.html">explained why she believes the show has been so successful.
“There’s a lot of scripted television shows out there that keep you on the edge of your seat, but sometimes in a way that gives you anxiety…the thing I love about HEARTLAND, and that so many people have shared with me over the years, is that it’s just comfortable…you don’t feel that anxiety.”
Marshall shared that many viewers continue to come back to HEARTLAND because “‘it makes me feel good, and it makes me feel inspired and positive and that I can really get through anything,’ and I think that’s really what the show is about.”

Last month, Marshall posted the extended trailer of Season 18 to her Instagram.
“When the future of Heartland ranch is threatened, the entire Bartlett-Fleming family will have to buckle down and adapt. But no adversity is too great when you’re united,” she shared.
