Lauren Daigle’s 2018 hit Christian song, “You Say” hit its 62nd week on Billboard’s Hot Christian Song chart.

Prior to Daigle’s song breaking the record, Hillsong UNITED’s song “Oceans” (Where My feet May Fail) held the record.

According to Fox News:

“I really pondered the journey of the song ‘Oceans,’ and I remember seeing the impact that song had on so many people. It was just so beautiful to me,” Daigle told Billboard after finding out that her song made chart history. “I didn’t know that would ever happen, and I had no idea that ‘You Say’ would be something that would parallel the life of ‘Oceans.'”

Lyrics from “You Say” read:

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And, You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say I am Yours

Daigle performed hits from her album, “Look Up Child” at various late-night talk shows.

Daigle initially appeared on the competition AMERICAN IDOL, but after her time on the show ended, she returned home to Louisiana to work on her music and lead worship for her church congregation.

Now, Daigle has a Grammy to her name and will tour the globe with the popular Christian recording artists JOHNNYSWIM next year. Daigle has also worked with notable artists like Switchfoot and All Sons and Daughters.

Daigle is currently on tour.
