In CHRISTMAS IN AMISH COUNTRY, Chef Claire is reeling from a negative response to her new restaurant. She heads home to Amish country to avoid the bad press, but a rideshare mix-up leads to restaurant reporter Jack ending up coming home with her. Sparks start to fly, but when a secret Jack’s keeping comes to light, will Claire still be able to trust him?

The movie introduces Claire as a successful chef in Chicago who’s about to open a fancy new restaurant. However, the day after opening, she finds out her big opening was a major flop and decides to go home for Christmas to avoid the bad press.

Unknown to Claire, Jack, a journalist who covers food, is staking out her apartment building for an exclusive. When Claire mistakes his car for her rideshare driver, Jack goes along with it and agrees to drive her to Amish country.

When Jack drops her off, the truth comes out, and Claire is ready to send him packing, despite her grandmother’s invitation for him to stay for Christmas. However, he offers her a deal. He can have an exclusive interview with her, so long as he doesn’t tell her family that her Chicago restaurant opening was not a success, as she told them it was.

The pair spends time together, with Claire showing Jack the ropes of Amish farm life, and Jack learning more about why Claire decided to leave this lifestyle behind, while still appreciating its practices.

However, when Claire’s brother discovers Jack’s been taking notes on their family for a story, Claire tells Jack to leave. Will Jack get the chance to explain his actions to Claire, or will they both spend Christmas alone?
