A LETTER TO DAD is a powerful drama about a boy named Dan who grows up with an angry, abusive father. The movie’s opening finds an adult Dan ready to propose to his dream girl, but he falters because he can’t overcome his deep-rooted anger for his father. Trying to find healing and forgiveness, Dan writes a letter to his dad, detailing the events of his childhood from Dan’s perspective. Cut to Dan’s parents getting a divorce when Dan’s in grade school because of his father’s drinking problem. As Dan matures, he continues to struggle during uncomfortable visits with his dad. In high school, Dan makes wild friends, who also have abusive or negligent fathers. Toward the end of high school, Dan finds the love of God, his heavenly father. This starts him on a path toward healing and real manhood.

A LETTER TO DAD is well-acted and teaches a powerful Christian message of repentance. forgiveness, reconciliation, overcoming bitterness, and spiritual healing.
