PRODUCED BY FAITH is written by former Sony Pictures executive, DeVon Franklin, who produced HEAVEN IS FOR REAL. DeVon knows and understands every aspect of the industry. Besides HEAVEN IS FOR REAL, he also produced another MOVIEGUIDE® favorite THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS. His book is a step-by-step manual for becoming a success at one of the major Hollywood studios. It is even more than that. It is about following God and living your Christian faith in a manner that gives you a more abundant life, even in the heart of the entertainment industry.
Like many African Americans, DeVon’s youth suffered from bouts of impoverishment and severe parental stress and strains. Thanks to godly grandparents, DeVon became a devout Spirit-filled Christian and a preacher in his church, but God called him into the entertainment industry. In PRODUCED BY FAITH, he shows how he lived out God’s call without giving up his values or his witness.
