More Detail:

In “Still There,” the triplets and Jack get the chicken pox. So, Rebecca’s mother comes over unannounced to “help.” However, her constant criticisms and digging comments eventually lead Rebecca to confront her mother about her behavior and her racist attitude toward Randall. Kevin is forced to see a doctor for his knee and has surgery. He pushes himself to recover quickly and turns to more prescription pain medication. Beth bonds with Deja over doing her hair, but when Randall tries to connect with Deja, she has an unexpected response. Kate visits a gynecologist and finds she’s six weeks pregnant.

In “Still There,” the triplets all try in their own ways to prove themselves. Randall tries as a child to impress Rebecca’s mom and later feels insecure over his parenting abilities as he struggles to connect with Deja. Kevin continues to have flashbacks about his dad and tries to tough out his emotional and physical pain rather than seek help. Kate works out non-stop after discovering she’s pregnant and deciding she wants to preserve her pregnancy. “Still There” has a positive worldview, but it addresses mature concepts of grief, racism, and pregnancy out of wedlock. So, caution is advised.
