TONIGHT YOU’RE MINE

"Oddball Rock Comedy"

Watch:

What You Need To Know:

TONIGHT YOU’RE MINE is an oddball romantic comedy set at a Scottish music festival. Adam and his goofy friend, Tyko, make up a popular electro-pop duo called The Make. They arrive at Scotland’s premiere music festival, T in the Park. Adam gets into an argument with Morello, the lead singer of an up-and-coming girl band. A strange black man spouting Christian love and peace handcuffs them together, then disappears. Neither Adam’s supermodel girlfriend, Lake, nor Morello’s banker boyfriend, Mark, are happy about this situation. Neither are Adam and Morello. They begin a daylong search for the mysterious black man with the key to the handcuffs. Meanwhile, Adam and Morello learn they have more in common than they realized.

TONIGHT YOU’RE MINE is somewhat of a shaggy dog story, but it has its endearing moments. Perhaps the best one comes when Adam and Morello perform a clever duet during the girl band’s performance at the festival. The two leads, Luke Treadaway and Natalia Tena, have likeable personalities. However, the charming elements are marred by lots of strong foul language and other lewd moments. MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution for TONIGHT YOU’RE MINE.

More Detail:

TONIGHT YOU’RE MINE is an oddball romantic comedy set at a Scottish music festival. It has some funny, charming moments, but there’s lots of strong foul language and some other lewd content.

Adam and his goofy friend, Tyko, make up a popular electro-pop duo called The Make. They and their manager, Bobby, arrive at Scotland’s premiere music festival, T in the Park. Adam gets into an argument with Morello, the lead singer of an up-and-coming girl band. A strange black man spouting Christian love and peace handcuffs them together, then disappears into the crowd.

Neither Adam’s supermodel girlfriend, Lake, nor Morello’s banker boyfriend, Mark, are happy about this situation. Neither are Adam and Morello. They begin a daylong search for the mysterious black man with the key to the handcuffs. Meanwhile, Adam and Morello are learning they have more in common than they realized.

TONIGHT YOU’RE MINE is somewhat of a shaggy dog story. This makes the movie seem too episodic. Also, one of the plot points toward the end seemed a little unclear. That said, the movie has its endearing moments. The best one, perhaps, comes when the two romantic leads perform a clever duet during the girl band’s performance at the festival. The two leads, Luke Treadaway and Natalia Tena, have likeable personalities. Mathew Baynton is funny as the friend. However, the movie’s charming elements are marred by lots of strong foul language and some other lewd moments. Thus, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution.
