This Influencer’s Perspective on Spiritual Warfare Will Change Your Quiet Time

Influencer Brittany Lynn Lutz engages in spiritual warfare every day because she knows God is with her.

“In this dimension, it looks like I’m just reading a book,” she wrote alongside a video of her reading her Bible.

“But every time I open the Word of God, I see myself as a warrior princess in another dimension wielding a sword and doing damage to the enemy’s camp, defending my family, fighting for my mind and pushing back darkness here on earth,” she described.

Lutz, who’s married to TWILIGHT star Kellan Lutz, encouraged, “When anxiety, pain, heartache, opposition, attack, depression, tragedy, shame, insecurity, etc hits don’t retreat. Don’t sit down. Don’t complain. Don’t get negative. Pick up your sword that is the Word of God and go confidently into battle knowing you’re on the winning side 🙌🏼”

People in the comment section appreciated the message.

“Yess! I needed to be reminded of this today — it’s been a tough day. I will use my sword and fight,” one follower said. Another wrote, “I love and appreciate you and Kellan both being open about your faith! 🙌 ❤️✝️”

Lutz is right.

The Bible tells us that there are unseen forces fighting against us. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

The influencer and mom of two often reflects on her faith and how she can best honor God with her life. In a different post, she talked about learning to focus on the good, not the bad.

“I asked my therapist ‘I have a lived experience of multiple awful things happening that statistically shouldn’t have happened. Practically, how do I stop looking around every corner to protect myself from something bad that might happen again?’” she recalled asking.

To her surprise, her therapist said, “Look for the good instead.”

Lutz continued, “If I have a choice to look for the things that might hurt me, I have equal choice to look for good things that can bless me. So here are some good things in my life as of late ❤️❤️❤️”

Although we live in a highly spiritual world and need to fight off evil with the word of God, we also need to focus on the good, just like Lutz. Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.”

Let’s take this an encouragement to hold the word of God closely to our hearts while thinking on all the good that He has done.
