Summary:

Starring Griffin Dunne and Dennis Hopper, SEARCH AND DESTROY is the story of Martin Mirkheim, a down-on-his-luck promoter who faces bankruptcy and divorce when he discovers that he owes almost $150,000 in back taxes. Martin decides to make a self-help guru's novel into a movie ... no matter what it takes. Full of gratuitous violence and immorality, SEARCH AND DESTROY is a confused, immoral movie.

Review:

Starring Dennis Hopper, SEARCH AND DESTROY is the story of Martin Mirkheim, a down-on-his-luck promoter who faces bankruptcy and probable divorce when he discovers that he owes almost $150,000 in back taxes. In order to overcome his fears and make his mark on the world, Martin decides to make a self-help guru's novel into a movie ... no matter what it takes. SEARCH AND DESTROY is a very appropriate title for this movie about Martin's search to get what he wants, no matter what he has to destroy in the process.

The actors all seemed to do their best, in light of the roles they are given. Viewers who blink may miss entirely Rosanna Arquette's
