FLICKA: COUNTRY PRIDE is the kind of entertainment you wish your children would see instead of the vulgar comedies and horror shows that come pouring out of Hollywood. The filmmakers are to be commended for making a very clean, wholesome movie with a great message. While the movie doesn’t openly honor Jesus Christ, it certainly promotes biblical values.

Some of the shots of Flicka just running alone are a testament to the wonder of God’s creation. Horses are such powerful creatures, but they’re willing to submit that power even to teenage girls as a sign of love and obedience.
