LETHAL WEAPON 3

Watch:

What You Need To Know:

Picking up where LETHAL WEAPONS I and II left off, LETHAL WEAPON 3 carries on with the same invincible duo of Detectives Riggs and Murtaugh. Here, they attempt to solve the mystery of disappearing weapons and ammo from police lockup that resurfaces on the street in the hands of street gang youths. This fast-paced police thriller is regrettably marred by implied fornication and objectionable language.

Content:

(B, LL, VVV, SS, M) The wages of sin is death when loyalty, integrity and love triumph marred by: at least 20 obscenities & 4 profanities; violence in shootings, killings, & car & vehicle crashes; implied fornication in two scenes; and, stealing of police weapons & ammunition.

More Detail:

In LETHAL WEAPON 3, the same invincible duo of L.A. Detectives Riggs and Murtaugh, try to find out why high-powered police weapons and ammunition are missing in huge quantities from police lockup and have begun to resurface on the streets, most recently in the hands of street gang youths. In their investigation, the detectives find that the evidence points to the involvement of an ex-policeman named Jack Travis, and Internal Affairs has been following Travis for some time now, but Detective Lorna Cole isn’t interested in working together. What really concerns Riggs, however, is his partner’s insistence on retiring, claiming he is “too old” to keep up. Will he or won’t he retire? The search for the thief leads Riggs and Murtaugh many places and down many back alleys. Suffice to say that by the end of the film, they each get what they want.

LETHAL WEAPON 3 has action, good timing, humor, and Detective Cole performing some spectacular Karate. Moreover, Joe Pesci as Leo Getz is delightful and deserves kudos for his role. Regrettably, implied fornication, mars the film, along with some objectionable language. The outcome also proves that sooner or later, no matter what sins are committed, they will be exposed.
