The studio behind I CAN ONLY IMAGINE 2 released a first look on socials today, exploring what happened after “I Can Only Imagine” hit airwaves.
“After I CAN ONLY IMAGINE released I was listening to [MercyMe’s song] ‘Even If,’ and I just felt like God touched my heart, touched my spirit, my soul, and it was like, ‘I’ve got to make a movie based on ‘Even If,'” said producer Cindy Bond.
Bart Millard penned “Even If,” while experiencing trials in his personal family relationships, and watching his friend, Contemporary Christian artist Tim Timmons battle significant health issues.
“Stepping into Tim’s shoes, the first thing I learned about just him is his gratitude, his grace and his presence,” says Milo Vintimiglia, who plays Timmons. “It kind of radiates this goodness that everybody around him just feels better because he’s around.”
Timmons said, “My one job today is that I just get to join Jesus in loving people really well and representing Him in any place that I am. God is at work in all things.”
