Christian social media influencer Lindsey Gurk took a moment on Instagram to showcase her beautiful voice singing a worship song and encouraging others. In the video, she is heard singing Katy Nichole’s song IN JESUS NAME with an encouraging message in the caption.
“A song and a prayer wrapped up in one,” she said in the post. “Also, I want to thank you for YOUR prayers. I never want to come across as complaining, because I truly have everything I need. + I just know how isolating it can feel while dealing with infertility, and I thought maybe sharing some of my story would help others not feel so alone.”
She concluded, “So, thank you for allowing me to do that. Thank you for being so kind. And thank you for being here with me. You all really are the best Song is ‘In Jesus Name’ by Katy Nichole.”
People in the comment section appreciated the encouragement.

“People who are listening to this just thinking that it sounds pretty have no idea how blessed they are that you are singing this incredibly powerful song over their life,” one person said. Another person added, “I LOVE that song!!! Whenever it comes across my playlist, I just stop what I’m doing and soak in the blessings of her words.”
The lyrics to the song say, “I pray for your healing, that circumstances would change, I pray that the fear inside would flee in Jesus’ name, I pray that a breakthrough would happen today, I pray miracles over your life in Jesus’ name, In Jesus’ name.”
Gurkin has been very open about her struggle with infertility. In a separate Instagram post recently, she shared a video of her waiting for the results of a pregnancy test which ended up being negative. “I’m sharing this now, not because we got what we’ve been praying for, but because God is still good. Good is still working,” she said in the caption.
Gurkin is not alone. The World Health Organization states that “Around 17.5% of the adult population – roughly 1 in 6 worldwide – experience infertility, showing the urgent need to increase access to affordable, high-quality fertility care for those in need.”
Despite the disappointment, Gurkin relies on God.
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose.” Even when we don’t undersyand why things might not be working out, God has a bigger plan and purpose for it all, and he is with us in the trial.
