SAINT LAURENT

"Boring, Abhorrent Private Lives"

What You Need To Know:

SAINT LAURENT is a French movie about the famous designer and his rise to fame and fortune in the 1960s and 70s. Yves Saint Laurent works hard to build his fashion line. Everything is exacting for him as he strives for elegance. Pierre is his business and sexual partner, but when playboy Jacques comes into the picture, there is friction. Jacques introduces Laurent to drugs, and Laurent becomes addicted to prescription drugs and hardcore drugs. Will Pierre be able to pull Laurent away from the addictions and back to focusing on fashion?

SAINT LAURENT has a strong pagan worldview with no plot and is two hours too long. The scenes of Laurent and Jacques are grotesque because of the activities Jacques likes to do. Even though at the time drugs were legal, the movie shows Laurent’s addiction. SAINT LAURENT is a very boring, tedious, obnoxious French movie with no plot, very strong homosexual content, and extreme drug use. Every scene seems as if it could have been shortened. There was no apparent plotline. SAINT LAURENT has very little to commend in it.
