Disney provided more details in a blog post where the company explained that a BLUEY experience will open at the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland Park on March 22, 2026, while a new excursion will be available at Conservation Station in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park sometime in the summer. Bluey and Bingo will also begin joining select Disney Cruise Lines next year as well, bringing the duo on worldwide adventures.
BLUEY has quickly become one of the most recognizable kids shows since its release in the U.S. in 2019 and was quickly picked up for distribution by Disney. It has been the No. 1 show on streaming on and off throughout the past years, including January to June of this year, per Nielsen. BLUEY is particularly popular because not only does it appeal to both kid and adult audiences, but it also teaches important life lessons in a fun and memorable way. A recent study revealed that resilience is the most common lesson taught throughout the show.
“For each episode, we looked closely at the storyline, characters and themes, identifying moments where a character faced a challenge and showed a resilient response,” explained study co-author Dr. Bradley P. Smith.
“We found BLUEY touches on almost all of the core elements of resilience: trusting relationships, emotional communication, problem-solving, self-regulation, empathy and more,” he added later in the study.
Meanwhile, while most BLUEY episodes are quite short, the IP is going big in 2027 with a full-length movie.
“I really enjoyed the experience of working with a longer format on ‘The Sign’ in Series 3,” Brumm said in a press release, referring to a popular episode of BLUEY that received a Movieguide® Teddy Bear Award® nomination. “So going even further with a feature film feels like a natural extension of that. I’ve always thought BLUEY deserved a theatrical movie. I want this to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together.”
With the success and popularity that BLUEY has enjoyed over the past half-decade, it is no surprise that Disney is making the characters a major part of its brand as it brings the Heeler family to life throughout its parks experiences starting next year.
