Actor Terry Crews will release a children’s book next month detailing his own life in a creative way that will inspire young readers.
“I am SO excited to let you guys know that my first ever picture book, ‘Terry’s Many Hats,’ is coming your way April 7th!” the BROOKLYN NINE-NINE actor said on X. “It’s about a kid who has always been told he can only be one thing and do one thing. Terry’s just the kid to prove that his dreams, and his hats, are limitless!”

People in the comment section celebrated the book, suggesting that it will open children’s minds to all the things they can be.
“Good. Maybe we can have more aces of all trades awaken from your book. I think child development today is too focused on making kids one thing vs letting them become masters at everything or fall into what they’re best at,” one person said.
Another added, “A message like this is inspiring. My favorite subject in history classes was the renaissance period because I aspire to the freedom to do and be many things, pursuing all my passions, not just one. We need more creativity and drive in the world for positive changes.”
“Terry is a talented kid with big dreams and a whole lot of hats. On the football field, he’s a star, and when he takes off his helmet, he puts on his other hats: in his beret he becomes an artist, in his chef’s hat he cooks, and in his sparkly top hat, he’s a magician!” a description reads.
It concludes, “Everyone’s always telling him he can only be one thing and do one thing. But Terry’s just the kid to prove that his dreams — and his hats — are limitless.”
The book is currently available for pre-order and will release April 7, 2026.
Dreaming isn’t just something Crews writes about; it’s something he lives out daily. Recently, he took to Instagram to share his excitement for whatever “next adventure” comes his way.
“Dreaming of the next adventure, and thankful for the ones that have come before! 🔥🔥🔥” he said in the caption of the post.
With its positive message and Crews’ own passion for dreaming big, “Terry’s Many Hats” will remind children that their talents and possibilities can make their lives an incredible adventure.
