Feeling uncertain about your next right move? Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson says it begins with “alignment with God.”

“Good morning, y’all! Praying for everyone. Let’s start this new week right!” the running back wrote in an Instagram Story over the weekend. “For the message today, I wanna hit a little on alignment with God.”

“Hear me, alignment with God does not begin with action; it begins with surrender,” the athlete explained. “Not the weak kind of surrender forced by defeat, but the courageous kind that says, ‘I choose God’s way over mine no matter the cost.[‘] Before God uses us, He conquers us.”

“Before God trusts us with influence, He first leads us to a cross. The truth of the matter is, alignment doesn’t begin when a woman/man makes a move,” he continued. “It begins when he/she lays something down. You can’t have God’s direction while holding on to your own control. Full alignment requires full surrender!”

“Let’s correct our alignment this week, everyone. Keep that straight line, and don’t go left and stay unaligned,” Robinson encouraged.

Throughout his entire career in the NFL, Robinson has spoken boldly about his faith.

“I wouldn’t be here without God. [Faith is] the biggest part of my life,” Robinson said in a video released by the Falcons in 2024. “I put these Sunday messages out. I always go back to that because there are so many people who just want a word of, not just like me speaking about Jesus and who He is and how He can affect and change your life, but it’s a positive message at the end of the day.”

“I do all the things that is necessary for me to continue my relationship with God. Even after games, in postgame interviews, I never go without saying ‘God’ first. …I play for Him. I play for God. I do everything in my life for God, so He’ll only continue to keep blessing you. My faith is my biggest thing,” he added.

After Robinson was drafted in 2023, he told the media, “It’s obviously such a blessing just to know that God brought me to be here, in Atlanta, and use my skills, use my talents [for] the whole team, the city. I really can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.”

If you’re not sure where God’s leading you, consider starting with surrender, as Robinson encouraged.
