Chris Pratt wants his fans to center themselves on what really matters this Advent season, despite the chaos they may be facing in their lives.
“This holiday season we’re doing a prayer challenge, so an Advent prayer challenge. Obviously, the holidays are fantastic, everyone loves all the holidays and Christmas, but it’s pretty stressful so, the idea is through the course of December you find just a prayer challenge to pray every day,” Pratt explained of his partnership with prayer app Hallow. “You find a space in your life, you know it’s less than 10 minutes per day on the app to really just center yourself.”
“We’re focusing on Psalm 46 which is, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ So, bringing stillness to the chaotic holiday season. And we’re lifting a few lessons from this really incredible book it’s John Mark Comer’s book The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, which, the title really explains all of it,” the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY star continued. “It’s about finding moments of peace and grace and connection with God amidst the chaos of not only the holiday season but just kind of the way the world feels right now, really chaotic and stressful. So, that’s what it is.”

Pratt has been an outspoken Christian for years and often uses his platform to promote the gospel to his fans. In 2018, for example, Pratt accepted an MTV Award and used his time onstage to encourage viewers to focus on their faith.
“God is real. God loves you, and God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do,” he said.
Pratt continues to hold onto his faith, even as he faces heavy criticism from the industry because he is a Christian. However, he proves to be resilient and has been defended by many in the industry.
“He’s kind of outside the lines in terms of his ideology,” podcaster Joe Rogan said in 2021, defending Pratt. “He’s a Christian and he’s pretty open about it, and, because of that, they attack him. It’s something so simple, like, he just believes in Jesus and he likes to be a good person…He hasn’t done nothing. He’s so nice. Chris Pratt is like one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life. He’s genuinely friendly. I’ve been in a hunting camp with him. He’s nice to everybody. My point is I’ve seen him interact with people. He’s a super kind, super normal guy.”
Despite any public backlash or effect his faith has had on his career, Pratt remains firm in his faith and continues to share the gospel whenever he can. His partnership with Hallow is yet another way the actor uses the platform the Lord has given him to point his fans towards God.
