Lauren Daigle Wants to Use Platform, Media to Spread Hope and Joy

Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Lauren Daigle recently shared that in a world full of hate and disunity, people are eager for kindness and light.
Michael Foust of Christian Headlines reported of Daigle who told the media, “The world is looking for people who will bring something kind and something good. We have enough people out there that’s willing to tear people apart. But for the people who are willing to take a stand and say, ‘No, I’m gonna use this platform and this gift of media to spread hope and joy and kindness into the world’ – that is the most important thing that you can do with your call.”
“I just want to empower you to know that you have a position of making or breaking in whenever you do,” she added. “You can either help someone and bring someone to beauty, into fruition to their dream and their call. Or you can absolutely devastate someone and bring their heart to just utter shame and distress. So the job that you have is not a job to hold lightly. Headlines at the sake of people’s ridicule – it’s not worth it. It spreads hate in the world. And I just want to encourage you to keep being the people that put good material in front of people’s faces, that keep encouraging people and bringing them on their journey.”
She concluded, “Thank you for keeping it kind and thank you for keeping it positive.”
In 2015, Lauren Daigle released her debut studio album, “How Can It Be,” which was a massive success. The album received critical acclaim and earned her two Grammy Award nominations. The title track, “How Can It Be,” became a major hit and solidified her position as a rising star in the Christian music genre.
Her second studio album, “Look Up Child,” released in 2018, further expanded her popularity and commercial success. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, making her the first female Christian artist to reach the top 3 on that chart in over 20 years. “Look Up Child” won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2019.
