In Part 1 of SEEKING PERSEPHONE on Prime Video, Persephone Lancaster’s family struggles financially. Out of the blue, Persephone’s father receives a letter from a Duke,  Adam Boyce, who requests Persephone’s hand in marriage and offers the family a large income in return. Believing she must act for her family, Persephone agrees, even though she’s never met the reclusive Duke. However, when they marry and take up residence in the Duke’s castle, Adam turns is highly critical. 

 Part 1 of SEEKING PERSEPHONE delivers a polished, well-crafted story that should appeal to viewers who enjoy Jane Austen or other 19th Century literature and dramas. The episode keeps viewers engaged and sparks curiosity about what will happen in the next episode. The debut episode of SEEKING PERSEPHONE also reflects a strong Christian, moral worldview. In Part 1 of SEEKING PERSEPHONE on Prime Video, Persephone Lancaster’s family struggles financially, but when a Duke offers to marry her, Persephone agrees so that her can secure the money they desperately need. Part 1 of SEEKING PERSEPHONE entertains while weaving a strong Christian, moral worldview that many Jane Austen fans will enjoy.   

 Persephone feels the weight of her family’s struggles on her shoulders. One day, out of the blue, Persephone’s father receives a letter from a Duke who requests Persephone’s hand in marriage and offers the family a large income in return. Believing she must act for her family, Persephone agrees, even though she’s never met the reclusive Duke. 

 When Persephone arrives at the church for the wedding, Duke Adam Boyce barely glances at her. He grumbles about the situation and trims the ceremony down to the essentials. On the ride back to the castle, Adam offends Persephone by mocking her name, and the two start their marriage on rocky footing. That night, Adam’s friend, Harry, arrives to encourage him. Harry contrasts sharply with Adam. He jokes freely and recognizes the good in all things. 

  Saddened by her family leaving the castle, Persephone wonders if she will ever embrace this new life, married to an unfriendly and critical man.
