Jamie Lee Curtis is thankful for her “movie daughter” Lindsay Lohan.

As the filming of the FREAKY FRIDAY sequel FREAKIER FRIDAY comes to a close, the actress took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message.

“The last FRIDAY of this FREAKIEST FRIDAY or shall I call it CRYDAY,” Curtis began. “We still have a couple days left next week, but it’s winding down and this morning as I arrived at work and looked at the hundreds of people gathering together to make it for the fans, shooting the movie in California, I’m feeling especially grateful to my ULTIMATE movie daughter, @lindsaylohan without whom we could not have made this movie. Ever.”

Disney announced FREAKIER FRIDAY earlier this summer.

“The sequel picks up years after Tess and Anna switched bodies, with Anna now having a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. According to the film’s synopsis, “As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice,” The Hollywood Reporter said.

A few days after Curtis’ post, Lohan took to Instagram to share similar sentiments.

“It’s our last Monday on the set of #freakierfriday and my heart is so full,” she said. “It’s been such a great time making this film. The wonderful cast, crew and everyone from @disneystudios have invested so much time and love into making this movie! Thank you to all of you! I’m so grateful to have made this film, a story of family, mothers and their children and a film filled with love, laughter and a ton of heart! It has been a pleasure to work with my dear friend @jamieleecurtis who brings so much joy to our set everyday and she has made this all the more special!”

Lohan previously spoke about the upcoming sequel.

“It’s going to be a really freaky Friday. Much freakier than you would expect,” she said… “I mean, we all just have so much fun and it’s so great to have that on set. You just always really want to have a good time. So it’s just yeah a lot of love, a lot of fun, a lot of laughs. It’s a great experience.”

The original FREAKY FRIDAY released in 1976. The adaptation starring Curtis and Lohan premiered in 2003, and their sequel is slated for a 2025 release.

“I really think at the end of the day, this is a love letter to mothers and daughters,” Curtis told PEOPLE of the sequel.

“It’s so beautiful to see the three generations in this,” added Lohan. “It’s so beautiful to see how Anna looks to Tess for advice. But then Tess still wants to kind of come in and give out the advice. And Anna has become a little bit like Tess in a way very much in this…which is what happens in life. You always become a little bit like your mom!”
